Bill Engvall

Funnyman Bill Engvall is a standup comedian with a musical streak. Born in Galveston, Texas on July 27, 1957, Engvall moved to Southern California in 1990 to hone his comedy craft and saw his career take off. A gig co-hosting with Rosie O’Donnell on cable show A Pair Of Jokers and a string of other notable appearances, including stand-up routines on The Tonight Show and the Late Show with David Letterman, saw Engvall’s notoriety increase. This was bolstered in 1992 after he was named Best Male Standup at the American Comedy Awards. Engvall ventured into music-making in 1996, securing a deal with Warner Bros. Records, and releasing his first comedy album, the country-powered Here's Your Sign. The title track’s single and music video featured a collaboration with country star Travis Tritt. Engvall went on to release another eight comedy albums over the next two decades, including Dorkfish in 1998, and A Decade of Laughs in 2014, which brought together some of his best work. An album of new material, 15° Off Cool, emerged in 2007 and in 2014 Engvall released career retrospective Ultimate Laughs.
